Coega meets your business’ unique needs and objectives with fast and efficient delivery that incorporates socio-economic, environmental and occupational health and safety issues to ensure sustainable development.
The impact of the infrastructure projects is significant for many of the communities in which they are based, since they provide job opportunities first and later service delivery and improved facilities. Many of the projects are complex and include building schools, roads and hospitals.
With 4 491 people employed for example through the KZN DoE project, the value of the socio-economic achievement is clear. The CDC has made a commitment to ensure that every rand spent does not only guarantee the establishment of infrastructure but is also targeted at giving the opportunity to unemployed graduates from the built environment sector. The extension of training on site, which includes HIV/AIDS awareness and employment guidance, also ensures infrastructure resources address the challenges confronting South Africa.
